Please do not confuse these

This is not an arts & craft class. Some magic instructors use this
as a time killing ploy. We spend the entire time teaching MAGIC.
In our classes the children get professionally built store bought props.
Four tricks per class. Students perform a magic show for the
parents and guests on the last class day and get
a certificate of achievement.

IMPORTANT NOTE You must determine whether you just want a 'sitter' for the children for an hour OR IF YOU WANT THE CHILDREN TO RECEIVE SOME BENEFIT FOR THE TIME SPENT. You can get someone to teach some tricks without the children receiving the props to do the tricks with. This is the most economical way of doing it. You can probably get a local magician to do it for about $50.00 per class. WE DO NOT DO THAT! Our workshops are structured
so that the children learn and will be able to perform the tricks
with props they receive in the class. THE SUPPLIES WE PROVIDE ARE COMMERCIAL PROPS AVAILABLE IN MAGIC SHOPS. The students are also provided with a folder to keep the instruction sheets, that we provide at each class, in. Obviously such a workshop
is more costly - BUT THE CHILDREN BENEFIT MORE.
There are National companies that provide such services to schools and libraries but they hire local magicians, who may not have had any experience at this type of work, and they DO NOT include the magic props and you never know who you are getting for a teacher. They pay very low fees to the magician so you are getting someone who is at the low end of the scale. |
